Major change announced on 10-17-2022 by the CILB & PSI about taking the Exams….

Here’s the announcement: CONTINUOUS TESTING ‘Year-Round’

The Georgia Construction Industry Licensing Board (CILB) and PSI are pleased to announce that Continuous Testing is now available, effective 10/17/2022.

Continuous testing greatly reduces the time for exam-approved applicants to obtain an exam appointment.

The Board will send a list of applicants who are approved to sit for an exam to PSI, and PSI will import the information into its system.

PSI will then email each exam candidate a confirmation and instructions on how to schedule their exam appointment.

Candidates should allow 7 business days from notice of the Board’s approval to receive the email from PSI.

“CA” Conditioned Air – Board Staff Processing Applications Process:

Note: Application processes have changed, may continue to change, but we heard that this is basically the current process.

There are NO Application Deadline Dates any more.

You can send in your complete Application Package anytime, but read below.
Application Approvals/Denials are now also Continuous or year-round, so no specific dates.

What history shows us is that the Board staff typically takes a few weeks to ‘Process” the Applications and make sure they are ready and 100% correct (no deficiencies by student) before they send it to the Board Members for their review for Approval or Denial.

Some Applications may need to be reviewed in more detail, so these “MAY” be held until the next Board Meeting Date.

“CA” Conditioned Air – Board Meeting Dates for 2024:

All Board Meeting Dates are on a Wednesday.

2. GLEC “CLASS” LOCATIONS (HOST HOTELS)

(Conditioned Air Classes)

I am leaving this Host Hotel information, just in case we might have a “Physical” Classroom class again someday.

As of August 2024, we now only have the fully Online classes. There just were not enough students attending the “CA” and “J&D” Physical Classroom option.

HOWEVER: If enough Students would like to attend a “CA” and/or “J&D” Physical Classroom class, I Am willing to create a class.

I will not “Pre-Schedule” any dates, just create a Date on a Saturday when we have at least 6 Students attending the class. Price would probably be around $200 USD Cash.

Required for BOTH Restricted Class 1 & Non-Restricted Class 2 License Applications!

This is due to over 85% of Students are taking this class Online, for several reasons:

1.    Available On-Demand 24/7 As many times as you want, thru your Exam date **

2.    If you fail, you can watch it again, and again, and again, until you got it!

3.    I do not give the answers, I give you the SOLUTIONS.  The Video shows every little step I take to solve the equations.

a.    Shows me finding the correct value in the charts.

b.    Shows me filling the value in the equation.

• After your Approval, you can go back and watch and work through the Videos again to ‘learn’ the calculation process and prepare for the Exam.
• NATE; you can use your Certificate for NATE CEH’s.

Watch all the Videos so you can get your Certificate so you can Apply to the Board.

After you get Board Approval to sit for your Exam, then go back and watch it (several times if needed) to Learn it thoroughly.

aka: Refresher course for all Reference Books except Design Books
Purchase after you receive Board Approval of your Exam Application

“CA-OL” = “Conditioned Air” License Exam Prep Review Class Onlne Only

This class has three (3) parts:

A. You will have access Online to about (12.6 to 15.6) hours of Tab and Highlighting all the other Reference Books.(Just Tabbing ACCA Design Manuals D and J)
B. Online Classroom for one day (8 hours) to go over Gas Pipe & Flue Vent sizing, Conduit & Wire sizing, Psychrometrics, Mechanical Ventilation Calcs, Test taking skills, and Accounting Gross Margin %.
C. QUIZZES!   There is now a Quiz for all the Reference Books, Except Design books.There is a total of 492 Quiz Questions!  These Quizzes are Online only.
