1. Conditioned Air Contractors Licensing Board requires four (4) Continued Education Units (CEU’s) per year, due by November 30th on Odd-numbered years.  Examples are years 2015, 2017, 2019, etc.  That equals 8 hours or units every two years.

2. You must keep your Certificates on file for 5 years plus the last Renewal period (Just keep 7 years). See www.sos.ga.gov/plb for more information.

NATE Certification

3. Recertification requires eight (8) Continuing Education Hours (CEH’s) per year.  These classes we have chosen not to be submitted for NATE Recognized Provider Program Classes.  HOWEVER, they do meet the criteria as a CEH type class. Since NATE only tracks CEHs for NATE Recognized Courses.

4. The technician is solely responsible for maintaining any other CEH course information. The candidate must receive a certification of attendance with their name, date of the course, name of the course, a description of the course and contact information of the course provider. The candidate must hold the certificate until applying for Recertification. NATE has before accepted these other GLEC Classes for CEH’s; HLG-DD-R and HLG-DD-C. But since the DCA (Dept of Community Affairs) who are in charge of the Codes for Georgia, only change the Code books every 6 years, yet ICC changes them every 3 years; I thought I would also YELLOW Highlight the 2015 Code Changes and add a RED TAG “2015-IFGC” or “2015-IMC” to these code locations for you to notice them.

Then, I review the State of Georgia 2020 Amendments for the 2018-IFGC and the 2018-IMC code books.
