Major change announced on 10-17-2022 by the CILB & PSI about taking the Exams….
• The Georgia Construction Industry Licensing Board (CILB) and PSI are pleased to announce that Continuous Testing is now available, effective 10/17/2022.
• Continuous testing greatly reduces the time for exam-approved applicants to obtain an exam appointment.
• The Board will send a list of applicants who are approved to sit for an exam to PSI, and PSI will import the information into its system.
• PSI will then email each exam candidate a confirmation and instructions on how to schedule their exam appointment.
• Candidates should allow 7 business days from notice of the Board’s approval to receive the email from PSI.

“CA” Conditioned Air – Board Staff Processing Applications Process:
Note: Application processes have changed, may continue to change, but we heard that this is basically the current process.
There are NO Application Deadline Dates any more.
You can send in your complete Application Package anytime, but read below.Application Approvals/Denials are now also Continuous or year-round, so no specific dates.
What history shows us is that the Board staff typically takes a few weeks to ‘Process” the Applications and make sure they are ready and 100% correct (no deficiencies by student) before they send it to the Board Members for their review for Approval or Denial.
Some Applications may need to be reviewed in more detail, so these MAY be held until the next Board Meeting Date.

  • CA-TAB’s - PRE-PRINTED PERMANENT TABS FOR THE ‘CA’ REFERENCE BOOKS

These should only be bought WITH the “CA” Exam Prep Class, NOT with the Design Classes.
We suggest just using cheap paper flags (Post-it Notes) for the Design books for now.

GLEC Started Providing Pre-Printed Permanent Tabs starting in August 2019.

We have had test proctors at Test Locations reject the cheap paper flags, and said Permanent Tabs are Required.

The “Permanent” Tab Set will be for ALL Reference Books including Manuals D & J. (They will not be available for books separately).

Students have been requesting this for a couple of years and have said it has saved them much time when doing the Videos for all the Reference books.

BEST if you can purchase this when you Purchase your “CA” Exam Prep Review Class Online. (Next item below).  We can ship them together.

    TAB DETAILS:

    • There are about 15 Tab Sheets.
    • There are about 328 Pre-Printed Tabs.
    • There are about 48 blank Tabs you can Write on if you need to.
    • There are about 15 Excel Spreadsheets that List the TAB’s for each Reference Book showing….
      • Tab name
      • Book Edition/Version #
      • Book page #
      • Code # for Codebooks
      • Some have a longer name description

    Tabbing the Reference Books:

    • Tab all the Reference Books (except the OSHA Book) according to the Spreadsheet Lists BEFORE watching the Videos.
    • The OSHA Book comes out every 6 months, so too many versions, so Tab OSHA Book as you watch the Videos.

What do I do for Tabbing the Design Books from the Online Class Videos?

    • For Tabbing the Design Books, for now, use cheap Paper Flags, such as POST-IT Page Markers 670-10AB, for about $6.66 for 500 tabs.
    • This is wise because several students usually do not read all the directions and they Tab incorrectly.  So, we can help show you when you come to the classroom.
    • Besides, no use spending the money until you make sure you are approved by the Licensing Board anyway.
