ROBERT (BOB) F. BARRINGER
Robert (Bob) F. Barringer has served for 40 years in the HVACR Industry. Being an Atlanta native I have seen the area and our industry grow by leaps and bounds. After serving 4 years in the US Coast Guard I came back to Atlanta. After completing 2 years at DeKalb Tech I was a Refrigeration Pipefitter and a service technician, worked in the engineering department at Griffin Hospital and an HVAC instructor at Griffin Technical College.
In 1984 I started my company – Barringer’s Heating and Air. After 10 ½ years I sold it to a neighboring company who wanted to expand into the Griffin market. I worked as an Outside Sales Representative for the next 12 years with Total Supply and Lowe Supply. I then worked for Performance Heating and Air in Griffin to be their CA License Holder and a Salesperson for three years. I started back teaching HVAC at night at Flint Technical College in Thomaston, GA; for two years. I then took an opportunity that came up for me to be the Department Head of the Air Conditioning Technology Department at Savannah Technical College. I retired after 10 years of service for the state and moved back to the McDonough, Ga. area. I am currently working as a commercial service technician at Harbin’s Mechanical Services in McDonough, GA.
